Don't know how I found myself on this years-old thread, but was strangely sucked in... thanks, Supadupafly, for your last word, providing a valuable finale for this by-now-totally-outdated drama, regarding a program I never heard of.

For those still taking notes, Post-it or otherwise, the linked article's end confused me, claiming that Post-it notes were indeed first sold in 1980, and provided as free samples previously. That took away the whole point of the article, and forced me to further waste my time doing research - this New York Times article sets us straight, clearing up the fact that the product was first sold in 1979 instead, as the executive producer revealed in a next-day statement:

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/25/business/media/25show.html

The next pressing question was whether the couple ever returned; it seems they declined, and the show was canceled soon after.

The original article also made it sound like the $800,000 that the couple lost altered the game's outcome, but the host opined that it was a moot point and they would have lost anyway. I'd imagine one would need to be familiar with the rules of the game to understand:

(Since they got the last question wrong anyway, we are told, they would have wound up as losers. Yes, but weren't they playing with $80,000, rather than $880,000, plus whatever amount they would have received if the Post-it answer was deemed to be correct? And isn't it high time that I stop trying to figure this irrelevance out?)

By the way, LiLuLeLohan, I actually think Kevin Pollak has some charm and talent.
